Resting Place

This is my dining room...sort of like my "mom's place" now. When she past away in Sept I made our hutch "her place"....until Mother's Day 2013 when we will be planting a cherry tree and adding part of her ashes as she wanted...the rest are in the beautiful teardrop urn that I bought for her. It took two weeks for me to search and find something unique and beautiful for her....just as she was. She would love her final resting place for her earthly remains.

Her soul, spirit and person is in heaven...but I do come to talk to her often here in my dining room....it's sort of a comfort knowing she has her treasures around her too.

Her porcelain baby doll that she loved and was on her bed sits in the far corner. On the other corner are her prized Amish babies that she loved. My mom loved going to the Amish country all of the time....Above her on the shelf is my husband John and I....photos are about 15 years old...I also have her china and special tea set in here too. I think she would be happy.

This is my mom's  granite to table that was in her living room with her treasured Amish porcelain dolls. Her table is now in the entry way of our home, along with the lamp.

Her treasured dolls are now are in my dining room hutch next to her, in her urn.

MY MOM'S ASHES (3/4th) are in the Tear drop urn. Another portion buried in our backyard beneath a Cherry Tree that she wished.

My mom's fingerprint done on a solid silver charm that I wear always on my Alex and Ani bracelet that I had a jeweler specially add.

Thank you so very much for caring about my beautiful mother, myself and our family. We appreciate all who have taken the time to send prayers and well wishes. I only wish you all could have known our mom...as we did. A beautiful woman who did not let her hard life overcome her, instead...she lived in the beauty of simple things and absolutely loved children, animals and every person that crossed her path. Thank you and God Bless.

With heartfelt appreciation,

The family of Anna M. Fairbanks
