Guestbook

This photograph of my mother was chosen specifically for this page as two weeks after my mom passed away...I had a dream.
In my dream was in some "very public place" with a lot of people...I heard a voice call my name, loudly...twice. I turned and there was my mom with a man at her side (maybe my stepfather?) and she was happy...so happy.
She was hopping up and down waving at me!
No words were exchanged but she said to me in
some sort of "mental message" these exact words "Look, Cynthia! This is what I look like again! I got to pick!"...with that she turned and left.
I was crying and sobbing and woke up.
Later when going through her photos I came across this picture.
This is the "look" she chose for heaven.
My mother.
Forever my mother.
Love, your daughter ...Cynthia & son-in-law, John.........also with love from your sons, Rick & Dennis- Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren.

  1. I miss you so very much. Life is not the same. I keep waiting for your calls and emails...they don't come. Mom, I am so blessed to have had the last 18 days of your life with you. Being there and taking care of you is something I will never forget. I hope your passing was comforted by our presence...I know it had to have been as it was so many years since all your children were able to be together. We decided we wanted to build this website not only to honor the living person you were, but to be able to communicate to you now. Love you so very much...forever my mom. Love, Cynthia

I cannot tell you how many times I think to go to the phone to call you about something....and then...I remember. Love you and miss you so very very much. Your daughter, Cynthia

  4. I miss you mom, more than words can say. I saw on your cherry tree all the baby birds sitting on it this morning. No other tree in the yard...but your tree. John said "oh yes, they are always there." I didn't notice until this morning! I know you are with us! Love you, Cynthia

I'm late for work appts this afternoon...but after my appts I am going to take a package of things over to our local hospice for other families in need during their stay with their loved ones. Shampoo, deodorant, soaps...things that families can use...this will be my birthday present to you as I know you would like that. Tonight I will pray at your tree when the stars are out. 29. The love of a mother is unconditional and ever lasting. I was very blessed to have spent 18 days with my mom during her passing and was able to thank her for everything she ever did for me...from hand crocheting vests for me when a child when we couldn't afford to buy new in stores...and she knew she could make them "just the same." From her making skating costumes for me as I wanted to be Peggy Fleming, even though my skating skills was so-so, she made me feel I was a professional in those costumes...no, I did not have an easy child hood and my mom and I did not always see eye to eye as adults...but she was my mom and I loved her unconditionally through all and always understood why she did the things she did...and more than anything....I was so very blessed to have had that insight as I know it made the difference, for her...and for me. Love you mom. Always and forever, your Cyndi

  31. Love and miss you.
How I wish you were here.
    "If Roses grow in Heaven"

    If Roses grow in Heaven
Lord, please pick a bunch for me.
Place them in my Mother's arms
and tell her they're from me.

Tell her that I love her and miss her,
and when she turns to smile,
place a kiss upon her cheek
    and hold her for awhile.

    Because remembering her is easy,
    I do it every day,
but there's an ache within my heart
    that will never go away.
    Love, Cynthia

  34. Today is 4 years since my mom arrived in heaven. I made this for her, piece by piece. She would love it! Last night, a white moth followed me around the house. I couldn't believe it! Later, I sat and John and I watched a sitcom...when I got up after the show...to get a fresh water bottle in fridge...trailing behind me was Daisy and Molly, our furkids, Archie, our cat....and lo and behold....the white moth, too!! By bedtime, the moth disappeared. I kind of miss that moth...I really miss my mom.

Thank you so very much for caring about my beautiful mother, myself and our family. We appreciate all who have taken the time to send prayers and well wishes. I only wish you all could have known our mom...as we did. A beautiful woman who did not let her hard life overcome her, instead...she lived in the beauty of simple things and absolutely loved children, animals and every person that crossed her path. Thank you and God Bless.

With heartfelt appreciation,

The family of Anna M. Fairbanks
